We've got a talker on our hands...........

Almost rolling over......

Ava is so close to rolling over! She totally skipped rolling from tummy to back, which the doctor said some babies do. She HATES tummy time and that may be what's preventing her from getting all the way over. The other day she looked like she was going to do it, so I grabbed my phone to record it, but as you will see she got very close and then decided she wasn't going all the way. Hopefully when she does decide to go all the way over I will capture it on video for all to see!!

5 months old

Here are some pictures from Ava's 5 month photo shoot. She is becoming such a talker (which you will see in the video I am going to post next) and she loves to move around on the floor. She isn't rolling over yet, but getting very very close! Her favorite toy these days are her hands and she puts everything in her mouth. She weighs 13 pounds and is 25 inches long.

And the coaching begins at 4 months....

Dancing machine!!

Ava loves her changing table!! No matter what mood she is in as soon as she gets on that table she is happy as can be. Lately, she has been dancing up a storm and I just had to capture it for all to see. She did get a little shy when the video camera turned on, but if you can get through the beginning of the video where she doesn't do much she really starts to move towards the end!

Grammy daycare!!

Ava had a wonderful 3 weeks with her Grammy! My mom was here to care for Ava while I finished up the last few weeks of school. It was so nice to have Grammy here and she made it easy to leave in the morning knowing Ava was getting some quality "Grammy" time. :)

We spent the first week trying to figure out what to call "Grammy!" We went through nana, nona, grammy, and many more. We finally decided on Grammy for now, but I'm sure once Ava starts talking she will make the final decision.

Ava's first 6 month outfit! To the right is the same outfit, but in the "preemie" size. Ava wore it on her second day home and now she is fitting in the 6 month size. It's crazy how much she has grown.

Play time with Grammy!

 Steve and I were able to sneak away for a night while grammy was here. We enjoyed a relaxing weekend at a beautiful resort in Palos Verdes. Unfortunately, the weekend was cut short when Steve woke up with a bad case of food poisoning. However, I was happy to get home to Ava earlier than expected and we still enjoyed a day of sun and relaxation!
